Australian Enamel Symposium’08

SYMPOSIUM
Started in 1996 this will be our 6th biannual symposium and we will be featuring our wonderful Japanese neighbours as well as showcasing some of the best talent from around Australia and New Zealand, Highlights of the symposium will include, keynote address by Carolyn Delzoppo, talks by Barbara Ryman on her time in Japan and Jenny Gore amongst others, Highlights of Japanese work will also be featured.
This year we will have a new segment to be chaired by Sally Aplin, titled “Participants present a work for interactive discussion” Participants are invited to show a few slides or digital images of a single work or several related works of theirs that they would like to talk about.  Preparatory drawings and sketches would also be appreciated.
It is envisaged that participants would talk for about 3 minutes or so.  This would be followed by questions from other delegates, to reveal the procedures, processes and outcomes inherent in the work.  It is anticipated that this session will reveal the sensitivity, skill and accomplishment of members and be of interest to us all.
So put your thinking caps on, bring slides, memory sticks or cd’s and be ready to share.
We will also have a pin swap starting the first morning so bring along something fun.
